He started his journalistic career as a cartoonist publishing his visual satire in German and Finnish publications and exhibiting in Cairo, London, Berlin, and Helsinki.

He went on to become one of the Arab world’s most incisive media voices: a longtime BBC broadcaster and the first Arab Head of BBC Arabic. Today, he runs Sokkari Salon—his independent digital platform for storytelling, commentary, and dialogue.

For Hosam, the Finnish Experience is an evolution.

After framing contradictions through cartoons, airwaves, op-eds, and digital discourse, Hosam now brings it all to the stage live: timing, observation, interaction and wit.

He’s joined on stage by a handpicked group of fellow comedians—each adding their own perspective, rhythm, and spark.
